Your Weekend, Set to Music |
Issue #3 · November 5–8, 2026 A free showcase of Texas Tech talent, a Friday night in the Bus Barn and familiar neighborhood stages: this weekend offers plenty of ways to find your sound. Pick a headliner, try a room you haven’t visited, or go hear someone whose name is new to you. That’s how a local favorite begins. |
A little planning goes a long way. All times are Central. Door times are labeled separately from performances. Check the linked venue for ticket availability, age policies and last-minute changes; for patio plans, check NWS Lubbock before leaving. |

Friday, November 6 · 8 p.m. · Buddy Holly Hall, Helen DeVitt Jones Theater · Free If your musical tastes refuse to stay in one lane, start here. Friday, November 6 · 8 p.m. listed event time · Cook’s Garage Prefer your Friday centered on one touring bill? Tanner Usrey plays Cook’s Garage with support from Noah Bowman. This one is inside the Bus Barn, rather than on the large outdoor stage—a useful distinction when you’re deciding what kind of night to plan. The official ticket page describes general admission, standing room only, with no assigned seats. Arrive with that in mind if standing for the evening is a consideration. Cook’s also lists clear bags only and no re-entry. The published 8 p.m. time is the event time; individual artist set times are not confirmed here. Check current tickets and venue information before making the drive. Hear him before you go: The video below is Tanner Usrey’s official Austin City Limits 2025 live set (about 43 minutes). Sample a song or settle in for the concert; this is earlier Austin footage, not the upcoming Lubbock show. |
Saturday, November 7 · 7 p.m.; doors at 6 · Buddy Holly Hall For readers drawn to contemporary Christian music, Saturday brings Zach Williams’ Revival Nights Tour, joined by Cochren & Co. and opening singer-songwriter Christian Hohn. Williams is the voice behind “Chain Breaker” and “Rescue Story”; the bill gives fans several artists to hear in one evening. The local event details identify the Helen DeVitt Jones Theater at 1300 Mac Davis Lane. This is a ticketed concert, so check current availability through the venue rather than assuming seats remain. It’s a different mood from a late club night, and another reminder that Lubbock’s weekend soundtrack has room for many tastes. Official show and ticket information. A taste of the live show: Watch “Chain Breaker — Live From Red Rocks” below (5 minutes 50 seconds), shared on Zach Williams’ official artist channel. This is an earlier Colorado performance, not footage from Buddy Holly Hall. |
