Outdoor plans? Rain and thunderstorms are in the outlook around Thursday night and Friday. Check NWS Lubbock and your venue’s updates before leaving; the weekend outlook turns warmer and drier. All times below are Central. |

Friday’s big outdoor bill puts Koe Wetzel, Wade Bowen and Kolby Cooper at Cook’s Garage. The October 30 listing starts at 6:45 p.m., with doors at 4:45 p.m. That gives you a useful arrival window without guessing when each artist will take the stage. Find Your Next Favorite Local Stage |
Looking for another night, a neighborhood venue or something beyond this week’s picks? Explore the Lubbock Live Music Scene directory and keep it handy for your next night out. Confirm individual listings with the venue before making plans. |
Halloween brings two chances to catch The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Buddy Holly Hall’s Crickets Theater: Saturday, October 31, at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. This is a film screening with a local shadow cast, rather than a touring rock concert. The appeal is the communal experience—a familiar soundtrack, theatrical energy and a room sharing the occasion. Choose the earlier or later show, then check the venue’s current ticket information and participation rules before heading out. |

Keep Monday on your calendar. The Blue Light’s 2026 Singer-Songwriter Competition continues November 2, with doors at 8 p.m. and songwriters starting around 9 p.m. The venue lists no Monday cover. This is a chance to slow down and listen to original songs in a room that puts lyrics and storytelling first. The November 2 performance slots are currently filled, although the competition page lists an alternate route. For most readers, the simplest invitation is to come listen and discover a voice worth following. |
